Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 19, 2026

This is a simple content website. You can read every page without an account, and we never ask you to sign up, log in, or hand over personal details. This page explains what happens to data when you visit.

What we collect

We don't collect personal information ourselves. There are no accounts, no contact forms that store what you type, and no newsletter sign-ups. If you email us, we only see what you choose to send.

Third-party analytics

We use analytics tools to understand which pages people read and how the site performs. These are run by third parties, and they may set cookies or use similar identifiers in your browser. The tools we use are:

  • Google Analytics 4. Collects traffic and page-view statistics. Privacy policy
  • Microsoft Clarity. Collects session replay and heatmaps that show how visitors move through a page. Privacy policy

These services may collect data such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. We use it only to make the site better.

“Disclosures provide transparency to your customers about your usage of Clarity.”

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website or its tools store in your browser. The analytics tools above use them to tell repeat visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site's content still works without them.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone beyond the analytics providers named above, and we don't build advertising profiles about you.

Data retention

We don't keep a database of visitors. The analytics providers store the data they collect under their own retention schedules, which you can review in the policies linked above.

Provider documentation gives the following default reference periods. Google and Microsoft control these settings. BirthstoneMeaning does not control them, and the providers may change them at any time.

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll remove it.

Your choices

You control the tracking. Use your browser's privacy settings to block or clear cookies, turn on “Do Not Track,” or browse in a private window. Google also offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Questions about privacy? Email us at hello@birthstonemeaning.com.
